For People We Support

We provide housing for adults with disabilities and a small number of standard social housing tenancies. Each offers a different level of independence and support.

1. Supported Housing

Supported housing provides long-term homes for adults with disabilities who need ongoing support to live independently. Homes are ordinary houses and apartments located within local communities, not institutional settings. Tenants have long-term tenancies, not short-term or respite arrangements.

2. Independent Living

Tessa House is a 28-unit apartment development offering standard social housing tenancies for independent living. We acts as landlord therefore we manage tenancy agreements, carry out repairs and maintenance, and provide a dedicated housing officer. These homes do not include care, staffing or disability-specific supports.

How it is allocated

All homes at Tessa House are allocated by South Dublin County Council (SDCC) through the Choice Based Lettings (CBL) system. To be considered for a home you must be:
