How We Acquire Our Housing Stock

Our Housing Development Team is responsible for identifying priorities for growth and assessing new projects and new development opportunities for viability.

The Housing Association either purchases or leases new and existing properties which we modify to suit the needs of the tenants. If necessary, we can design and construct properties to our own specification.

The team works in collaboration with local authorities to deliver the Housing Association’s goals. The team manages new acquisitions from a housing and technical/property perspective; working with building surveyors and architects to deliver projects. We seek to ensure that the acquisition can be managed and maintained at reasonable cost and in a way that is economically, socially and environmentally sustainable.

Although it varies, generally, we provide 4-bedroom houses to people who require supported living, and where an individual can live independently, apartments are provided.

The Housing Association manages over 400 units of accommodation in eight local authority areas. All of our accommodation is located in community-based developments in counties Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Wicklow, Louth and Kerry.
